Around 9.45pm last night, Cebu was hit with a 6.9 Earthquake & lasted around 45secs but felt longer when you are several floors up on top of a hill…luckily no damage done in our building & our condominium but as of this writing there are 22deaths & 37injured but it’s expected to rise..there have been 397 aftershocks recorded since & we felt the bldg continue moving so still a little unnerving. Power cuts are being rotated until the grid can make repairs & power stations check there facilities before powering up once more.

It’s scary stuff living through a major quake

All bikes are Ok too 😁

I'm glad you're OK. I thought of you when I heard the news.

That is concerning, glad you are aok, but tough for those that lost possessions and livelihoods and of course those injured or lost family. Disasters aside, I think the RB readership would love to hear what cycling is like over there generally and what you have experienced while out and about on 2 wheels.

Currently 69 dead more than 150 injured with most of the damage in the North of the island around Bogo City where the epicenter is.

We are still getting aftershocks & I can feel our building move so with two weeks of aftershocks to come we are not out of the woods yet. Last movement felt just over an hour ago.
