You’re probably right. Forgot it’s only an 830 with some random Deore II/DX bits. Don’t want to look at the listing again to check, because eBay will think I’m genuinely interested in it and keep hassling me. So yes an 830 would have been cro-mo main tubes at best.

Long may it distort the price of bikes to the misinformed public and also provide us with something to discuss on these increasingly dark & wet nights!

In fairness those frames are nice even if low end and I quite like the bike as a whole but I sold a similar Antelope in nicer condition during the covid boom for £100... and I fecking washed it

I have an 830 frame that makes this one look like a minter. There isn't a rough enough badgers a**e to compare mine to. I'm going to put a Carrera Subway fork in it.
