High pitched noise at night

We have had factory extractor fan noise issues. A DRONING NOISE AT NIGHT. :evil: :cry: :evil: They seemed to fix it, but it's come back as a noise that's like when you have an ear test (very in your head)

couls this be compressor noise ? still a fan noise ????

If the factory noise is disturbing your sleep get hold of your local environment officer at the council. Your health (and sleep) are being upset by them and it is up to the factory to fix the problem.

We had a similar case at our previous house. The house backed onto a small printing works which bought a new machine that pumped out really noxious fumes. Smelled like burning oil. The neighbours all got together and wrote to the council and within a few days the printers had shut down the machine and ended up paying loads to get the problem fixed.

I got it sorted with them last year to their credit, but it looks like it came back, got other residents involed now for back up........

Could it be the thing was past it's best and they just had it patched up when really it should have been replaced, as modern fans are a lot quieter.

But in our village someone bought the house next to the pub and now the pub has to close early because the person next door is moaning about the noise, so that is a business suffering and a patronage losing out on their recreation.

it's a chemicalworks, and they said they only run the noisey fan in the day now and use the ok ones for night time....but i'm not sure :?:
