Hi to all from Rusty Scrubber

Hi Mr Scrubber or can I call you Rusty?

I don't want to read all those words, so would you mind condensing your Intro into a simpler and shorter format for me please?

No more than about 50 words should do it!

Welcome.

Ah, thank you.

I could do with a few different bits actually, as can't find them anywhere.

I need the broken lined 'Equipe' on the Raleigh, a full Al Carter Hot Rock set, a full set of Specialized Hardrock Sport 2007, and for the Coventry Eagle I wanted to do something along the lines of 50's pin up girl stuff, as it looks like that kind of vibe. I actually found some original badges for the C.E, but not sure I want to put rivets in

Will throw some pics up when I get chance.

Just pm Gil...he is very helpfull

Sure thing.

Hi, I'm Rusty Scrubber and I'm a bike noob.

Simples. :P

The green dream machine is certainly distinctive :D Are those tyres the slicks I see on e bay? Any good or best for decoration only?

They're ok for the cash, but I wouldn't go on an adventure with them. I have some heavy 2.2's on other wheels.

Maybe you should use paint stripper on the specialized frame?

Thanks, and hi.
I've taken most of it down now.
The guy who owned it before me had sprayed it black. I tried to save the decals, but only one side was recoverable, and not really that tidy. I used some white spirit in parts, but not much cop. Not tried the paint stripper yet to be honest. Could be worth a go with the next job.

This is the Coventry Eagle.

It actually has a few different things such as a lime green chain suck protector etc, and I put a Campag sticker on it for kicks until I can get the real decals.

Love the 'Lone Wolf' thing - thanks man.

I wish it did have XTR parts lol, but it doesn't.
I bought some different bits, but they're for 9 speed stuff (I'm learning) so that only has 5 + 3. The front fork covers were a measure to tidy it up, as there was rust on one of the forks that had hurt them cosmetically, despite my cleaning them up. They're only 1 inch steerer, so I couldn't afford to buy / find new forks at the time, especially after making a mistake and buying 1 1/8 forks when I thought a fork was a fork. I've since got some lime green rigids, but there's nothing wrong with the ones on it as far as working wise, so they'll do for now. It's easy to get carried away and spend too much, and I've already spent far too much if I'm honest in the 2 or 3 months I've been fooling around.
