Retro Newbie
Hi all,

Today I disassembled the Klein Quantum and put all the parts back on my first racing bike. A custum build kevlar frame from Herman Braun (http://www.herman-braun.nl/) with Campagnolo C-record.
Only the tyres and rims are no longer retro.

Here are some pic's, just made in the dark.

And what's left from the Klein:

QUESTION to the experts:

I just put this bike on the Dutch website for used items and got an offer of €350,-. Sounds like a great offer to me....more then I expected. Is this a realistic price for a used bike?
This is the link:

I hope to sell it in the Netherlands, because I have no idear how to ship it to other countries

That looks very nice - I like the paint! Where's the kevlar though? looks like steel to me...

There is a separate thread for valuations, but 350 euros for the complete bike sounds pretty low - the groupset alone is worth that and more, depending on condition. What tubing is the frame made of? Any detailed pics?

The 3 main tubes are made from kevlar. When you look at this detail photo, you will see that there is someting like a ring oround the tube for soldering:

Thank you, I also found the "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH", although the bike is almost sold for the current offer of €450,-.

But I have some nice other parts as well I think like Shimano 600 delta brakes and a rear derailleur from the old Panasonic team tuned to adjust the derailleur from a driving car.

I really don't think they're kevlar - the lugs are standard cast lugs by the look of them, and not at all suitable for bonding kevlar tubes into. The rings around the tube at the gear bosses and for the number plate boss are probably just nice distinguishing touches.

Would be great to see more pics though, I do quite like it!

Hi Foz, what kind of photo's would you like to see?

When you hear the sounds when you hit the tubes, you will hear the "plastic" sounds instead of a "metal" sound. The tubes were manufactured in Italie. It is a custom build bike and I don't know the mark or type of the tubing. This was my second bike that I bought and around that time I was not aware that I was going to sell it after 25 years.
