I talked with the seller prior to buying the road frame. He was not really familiar with the bikes/frames. Interesting how he had the only 2 Henry Lloyd bikes I've been able to find online as examples of the marque.@Deax, I'd be wary of it being a 1960s frame as I don't think Tange No 1 tubing was available until the mid 80s.
Blimey, there’s some names from the past! David and Phil Orme on their tandem (David died a few months ago), and Ray Walton (now club captain at a local golf club). I must have missed that race for some reason. If my memory serves me correctly Chalky Whites' first name was Mick and he was indeed Polish. I remember him as Francis' 2 up TT partner who rode a Jacques Anquetil.
Here's the only record I have of my TT days, from the Nottingham Evening Post in 1970. A lowly 30-45 "evening 10" - but I was only 13 and it was limited to a 72" gear. I did improve into the mid 28s!
Henry was a great encouragement to us "young 'uns" and allowed us weekly payments on bike parts.

I tried multiple times on different devices to email Clarion, but their mail function is not working and I saw no email address to use for a direct email not using their "contact us" option. It's good to see some info about Henry Lloyds filtering through. Any luck with contacting Francis?
