Interesting - there's a Henry Lloyd track bike on ebay at the moment that has been catching my eye:

I talked with the seller prior to buying the road frame. He was not really familiar with the bikes/frames. Interesting how he had the only 2 Henry Lloyd bikes I've been able to find online as examples of the marque.
Decal, of course, could be a replacement for whatever reason. I did not look closely at the track bike so I do not know the details of it, but if the tubing decal said "Tange #1" then I believe the decal would have been circa 84-85 after changing name from "Champion #1" to "Tange #1". From what I have been told here is that frames bearing the Henry Lloyd name were not being made (by Mick White?) until the 80s.

Blimey, there’s some names from the past! David and Phil Orme on their tandem (David died a few months ago), and Ray Walton (now club captain at a local golf club). I must have missed that race for some reason.
Anyway, I know Henry was definitely not building frames in the early 1970s, when I worked for him on Saturdays, although he did manage to straighten my Langsett Frame and forks after it had an interface with a car on the Epperstone bypass.

"Epperstone bypass"...... down to Oxton roundabout..... back along the bypass to Lowdham roundabout, short sprint along the Burton Joyce road and cross the finish line at the lay-by.
I only did a few 10s but thoroughly enjoyed them on my Claud Butler, dreaming of being as fast as Frank Taylor!

Here is a comment from another Lloyd's bike shop patron (TrevA at CyclingUK forum) :
"Henry Lloyd’s was my local bike shop, on Meadow Road, in Netherfield, Notts. I seem to remember someone saying Henry set up his business in the late 1950’s (way before my time, I was born in 1959). For most of his time, he was a 1 man band. His shop was something of an Aladdin’s Cave of bike parts. I bought a Holdsworth Professional frame from Henry in 1975, he used to keep a small stock of named brand frames for sale (Holdsworth, Falcon, Claud Butler, etc). He was my go-to place for parts, tyres and accessories. Henry himself retired in the late 1970’s and sold the business to Mick and Francis, and Gary Wharton, who were all members of Nottingham Clarion (as was Henry). Mick’s surname was Polish, something like Cziorka, not White, hence the nickname “Chalky”. I can’t recall the exact spelling.
Henry only started offering his own brand of frames in the late 70’s, I’m not sure whether they were brought in and badged up or whether they were built in house. The Henry Lloyd business itself shut down in the mid 1980’s and Mick went on to work at the Freewheel shop in Hockley, Nottingham. He stayed there for around 30 years, until it closed down in the mid-2010’s. I bought a Ridgeback Panorama from Mick at Freewheel in 2009."

I tried multiple times on different devices to email Clarion, but their mail function is not working and I saw no email address to use for a direct email not using their "contact us" option.
