Helping a friend - 1993 GT Zaskar 20"

A buddy of mine here in Victoria has the following: a 20" 1993 GT Zaskar (serial: 08930061). Single owner its whole life.

Obviously it is not in the greatest shape, but no cracks on the frame. I will be doing an in person look at it in the next week or so and will grab better pics at that time.

Has a replacement rear mech that needs to be installed.

Brakes, shocks, tires, seat, chain will need replacing. Suspect headset and BB will require of complete overhaul. Shifters may or may not work.

Looking at Ebay and MP here in Canada the frame should fetch about $400.xx CDN.

I doubt given the state of it that he wants to ship it (maybe stripped down he would consider it) but one can always ask.

So.. given the thread title... any idea what I should pass along as an asking price to my buddy?

If it were a 17" or 18" I would buy it myself, but I so do not need a 20" frame.

For reference it is an 18" in GT sizing (C-C).

Yeah seems to be smaller than 20", it's stamped opposite the serial most likely.

Well if it is an 18" I more than likely will see if I can snag it for myself. Will make sure I take my tape measure when I go to view it.
