Ive been asked to sell this on behalf of a friend and would like a rough idea of its worth before deciding between ebay or specialist classifieds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Frame is, I believe a Ciocc Designer '84 while the 'Designer' name is missing off the top tube I cant find anything else which comes close online. Chainset is Campag Gran Sport, campag BB, front mech and seatpost. Cinelli bars and record stem. Rear mech, brake levers and shifters are Shimano 600 including the pedals which arent fitted in the pic. Weinmann Carrera calipers. Weinmann rims laced to Shimano 600 hubs and stickered as being built by Martyn Ashfield, a local specialist. There is slight pitting and spots of rust to the chromed stays, Im guessing a lot of this would clean off, the rest of the bike is in a lovely condition with no signs of damage or repairs. If it was an inch smaller I would keep it for myself.

The brakes are bolt through and not Allen key and the frame has external cabling which might mean it's an earlier frame with newer bits...... although the front mech looks brazed on

Jan Brezhvney (spelling) won the 1978 Milk Race on a Ciocc and nostalgia does play a part on how much the bikes are worth..

Try the "how much it is worth" section :)
