Help with GT frame

Dirt Disciple
While I was on the hunt for parts for my Kona project I came across this frame for only $30CAD (18£). I am pretty sure it is not a Zaskar, but I am thinking it could be an Avalanche.

Weight is: 1.895kg
Serial number on BB is: SAS6I1307
There's another number on the head tube: WLM0314
One of the dropouts says 7005, which I believe means the frame is 7005 aluminum.

Any ideas on what frame I have here?

I cleaned the frame yesterday and looks so much better (sorry, forgot to take pics before cleaning). Frame is gorgeous and I always had a thing for GT triple triangle frames, so I guess I have another project for the future here.

See pictures below.

downtube looks 96 and seat clamp says pre 98... could be a lot of things if the finish is origianl? then could be a avalanche or backwoods (96 or 97)...

but yeah not a zaskar.

Re:

Yes, the finish is original. I've been looking through catalogues and pictures and you're right. It could be different things.
As I said, this will be my next project after I finish my current one.
Thanks for your help!

Just in the middle of a rebuild of my Zaskar. I think 97 and I have had her since at least 99. Had it off of a friend in the UK and always been canary yellow as far as I know.
Any help on the origins/what original colour this should be appreciated.
I have read/only seen ball barnished red, although Gil at Retrodecals seems to have the right sticker sets.
Have also seen a similar colour (only one photo) online!!

Re:

Cheers for the response.
Just traveled through 48 pages of the forum and certainly some questions about are they/aren’t they etc.
For sure I know it is......
Looking for a colour code or similar (glad my wife is away as I have just dedicated about 4 hours to this:)

I have found a ‘similar’ match online as RAL1018 as GT used to use this for their BMX’s.
May just have the powder coaters mix this one up and have a look at the match.
Just want it to be as close as possible!

Just a shame there are not really many records/codes from GT

Thoughts?
