Help with choosing a bike

Hi all

My mate is looking to get himself a bike he would like a bike for £250-300.
Must have front susp, be a hardtail and have disc brakes. Any ideas on what he should get himself?

He had a Gt Palomar but got rid of it (needed the cash) so I don't think he is too bothered on having the lightest bike in the world. As he used to like the solid feel of it.

Any help would be gratefully welcomed.

What size is he after, Matt? I may have something that fits the bill but it's small.

Well he's about 5'7 but his old Gt was quite a big frame. What you got?

Iron Horse Warrior, 15.5", 2008 I think. It's just one of a few bikes too many and on my cull list.

I haven't any photos but you can google them no problem, it's the metalic red one.

You're welcome to come and view it, I'm only a few miles up the road.

If he liked his outpost then there are loads and loads of GT Avalanche or modern equivalents on ebay around that price with decent enough kit and frames.

Do a local search pick up only and something will turn up shortly.

I would suggest a Gary Fisher. Just because I like them.

Disc brakes became popular in wire flavour first, I am guessing he wants hydros?
