Just got a really nice alu framed bike at our local market / auction, Merlin frame, XT front and rear , decent ( if a bit rusty) wheels -BUT can you identify the old air/ oil Marzocchi fork......? Shraeder valves in top of fork legs, under a screw down plasic cap, and mysterious adjuster dials on the fork legs. Like to get a bit more info so's I can find out correct air pressure etc. Cheers, Mark.

They look a bit like mine but obviously not as cool as they're not purple. You can get a manual from Windwave that is close to your type. http://www.marzocchi.com/template/listS ... K&Sito=mtb

they look like budget end , XCR's maybe but they used to be gold ?

I do remember some yellow ones on ebay a while back though he wanted £50 min  for em.

Bargain buy though that

marzocchi xcr, they painted them yellow or red for 1997(too keep up with rockshox), i had a red pair back then that my friend still uses regularly, and have a nos pair in yellow in the attic! they worked tremendously well for the money, they retailed at £250 ish, but you could get them back then for less than £200. remember that judy xcs were nearly double the money, even if you got them for a good price, but the xcr's worked so much better! seals for them are still available from windwave, and i think they can still get crowns and steerers from the factory in italy, so any marzocchi dealer can get them, so as long as the stanctions are not marked, they could last a very long time.
