Help! Whats the best Photograph uploader for Retrobike??

As well as hosting photos remotely with Photobucket and Flickr etc, you can also upload images to your own personal album on Retrobike.
Every registered user has one, but it's a feature that does tend to be under used.

1: Click on the 'Gallery & Archive' link within the main navigation strip.
2: Click on 'your album' near the top right corner.
3: Select an action from the 'album actions' drop down menu at the bottom left hand corner.
4: Follow the on screen instructions to upload images and/or create albums.
5: Remember to add a description and keywords so that your images are searchable.

You can then embed images from your album into your posts and threads by using the 'g2Img' button in the post editor when posting up a reply.

Sounds complicated but it's actually all rather simple once you've done it a couple of times.

I've just been running through this. Two more albums are up under my name in the User gallery - 'MT Shasta Tempest' and 'Cannondale M900'..no probs at all, althoug I exceeded my 15mb limit in like, 4 photos. Hooray! Great advice

A combination of this and Photobucket

another photobucket user here.

it allows a huge amount of storage, android ap will work alongside you being signed in on the pc hich is handy.

i usually do pics off the phone, upload with the ap & then have photobucket open in a second tab in my browser.

from the album page you can quickly copy links too including a straight url (if you use the img buttons in your reply) or an image code which means you don't need to bother with the buttons, simply copy & paste the whole link & it'll work!!

SOLD! I've chucked my lot in the 'bucket.. It's free, huge capacity, decent Android app, easy to use, popular with you regular members of Rb and I love the point about running the phone app & a tab on pc alongside simultaneously..I do that with EBay when I'm real busy.

See, its worth getting a consensus of opinion from a few people who know what they are on about! Some of the other features on here aren't such a mystery anymore either 8)

I use Photobucket a lot but prefer Flickr for proper hosting needs as it gives me the ability to post pictures at various sizes up to the actual resolution. Flickr app is shite on the iPhone though and has actually stopped working on mine now whereas PB works a charm.

Cheers all.. I have a sound basis of info to build on from you. Enjoying my new found sense of freedom. PBucket and android app seem like a smooth interface, cant see any shortcomings as yet..Just trial and error from here on in! :D ..
