Help to ID my Marin either Rocky Ridge or Nail Trail 1995

Dirt Disciple
Hi Everyone, Managed to pick up a Marin off the local FB page, problem is I can't
identify what the actual bike is. I've done some detective work and have pinned it down to either a Nail Trail or Rocky Ridge from 1995
It's got Cro-Mo forks, not sure if triple butted but they are stickered up as Rock Star triple butt etc
Frame number isn't clear other than the first letter F so that's no help..
It has a Marin Lite forged stem rather than a CNC machined
STX RC - MC33 Cantilevers, 175mm 5 Arm Crankset - I think this is the 'weird' one,
plus MC33 Rear Mech, and Rapid fire shifter brake combo.
Front Mech is a bottom pull STX
Seat seems rare, a Cinelli volare TRI-A in yellow
Couple of retro accessories fitted, X-Lite Bar ends and finally a Mint Front crud catcher plus a rear Crud Guard in good condition as well
I've checked the online brochures listed here for both years and it's a still not clear?!
Any thoughts/advice would be great.
Photos to follow *updated, forks had 1995 stamped so narrows the year down *

Re:

Some things indicate 1996. Thread less diacompe headset
and the decals. The cranks say nail trail.

Nice bike anyhow.

Thank you, I’ve stripped it down and alas the headtube has 2 hairline cracks so I’ll split it and list the components

Re:

Awww maaaaan.

Sad news. I cannot make up me mind whether somebody has down graded a rocky with nail trail groupset, or upgraded a nail trail with rocky forks...

Either way the desirable marin lite cantis are not there.

All the best with the split.

I’ve just weighed the forks and they are 950g, so I think they’ve been stickered up as triple butted but they are just the regular cro-mo, I’ll list as a Nail Trail
