i think you will find that most new spark plugs brought through a main dealer will be pre gapped to suit application intended

your correct
but the car has a phantom misfire an according to google its a common problem on chevrolets
reduceing the gap on plugs cures it( they are 1.1mm as standard

One of the blade should have 31 written on it or combine more that one blade to make up 31 thats if their imperial feelers your using.

In which case use 0.026" and 0.005" to give 0.0031" = 0.8mm as near as dammit. If you have an 026 that is.

Use the upper numbers and get as near to 0.031 as you can, or use your thumbnail
