HELP,PLEASE,SPOKE LENGTH QUESTION!

I removed all the spokes from the font wheel of a vintage Raleigh Elix today which measure 296mm in length.

I then had a brainstorm and cut the rear wheel spokes to remove them more quickly and threw all the bits away without measuring the length!!

So,my question is what length will the rear wheel spokes be relative to the known length,296mm of the front wheel spokes?

Both hubs, front and back are the original Shimano Exage hubs the rims are the original aero rims.

Both rims have 36 holes.

Any help will be most gratefully received and particularly so from someone who may own an original Elix.

294/292 give or take.

Assuming 3x36 build and a 608mm ERD. Which was the nearest i could get to your initial 296mm

The exage hubs are on leonardo.io/edd so makes things easier.

Thanks for your help, but could you extrapolate a little further on this, please.Wheel building and its terminology is alien to me I'm learning as I go along.

Does 294/292 refer to front and back wheel spoke lengths or just to approximate rear wheel spoke length.

Mark.

the back wheel usually needs two different spoke lengths. the non-drive side is usually longer when the flanges are the same height.
