on ebay.co.uk is an auction on something i'd really like to have. its nothing special, not even retro. although i asked the seller he is not willing to ship abroad. i'd need someone who bids for me, receives the item, checks it and sends it on to me. anyone willing to help me out?
paypal required btw. and seller has superb feedback. so "no/low risc".

You should be able to find someone fairly easily as I've had a few people help me out in the past.

Bidding wise to makes things easier when they won't send worldwide what I do is as follows:

1) Log into the site and bid on the item (if you don't go via the country site your address can stop you bidding otherwise).

2) Once you've bid send a message to the seller and explain nicely that you have an address you can send it to in their country even though you are not in it. If they are posting within the country all sellers seem cool with this.

3) When you win, you pay via Paypal etc as normal and e-mail the seller your Retrobike friends contact details so they can send it to them (this removes the need for your contact to pay for the item).

4) When the item is received then you pay the person you are using to forward the amount to ship and some beer money for the assistance.

The best thing about this way is that your Retrobike contact is not left out of pocket for something they may not want in the event that you don't pay up - they just keep your Ti frame or ultra rare part which you've payed for and the seller isn't inconvienced if your contact doesn't pay up either.

You did If they wont post to you then as a rule you cannot bid/buy either. Get someone to bid in the UK for you.
