eeeeee its a bigun :o definitely start with the nitromors, after you've taken all the bits off. May take several applications though. Once done I'd recommend scrubbing down with a regular brillo pad, this will start the polishing and remove any residual paint stripper. Dales are quite well finished underneath so no real need to go for wet/dry but if you have any heavy scratches give them a rub. You could go for a fine grade scouring pad too, availble from car paint suppliers but you should get away with going straight to polishing using autosol. The good DrS has been recommending a meguiars alloy polish that leaves a protective layer NXT its called IIRC. Keep at it and keep posting your results. :D

ok then thanks for your help the last problem i have is i cant get the crank set off or the back reflector. i got the bolts holding the cranks on out but now it wont move so i dunno what im going to do about that.
i will keep you all posted. should i start a thread in the readers bike?
