I have a Pace RC200 F2 with RC36 forks. The bike has been virtually unused since I bought a full sus in 2000 but I have decided to renovate it and breathe life back into it.
The forks appear to have a problem - 1 leg seems longer than the other. The stantions are level on the crown, and because of the carbon brake booster I don't see how the sliders can have moved. I noticed this when putting a newly built wheel in the fork and it sat closer to 1 leg than the other. On inspection the old wheel was more dished on 1 side than the other.
Any ideas what could be wrong with the forks? Has anyone else had similar problems?
