Help! Mystery late 70's(?) steel Frame (French?)

Hi

I picked up this bike recently from a guy who said he'd bought it in the South of France. I can’t find any frame markings except a possible Huret stamp on the front dropout and the angles 75 and 58 marked on the Bocoma lugs. The frame is light and according to the LBS is double butted and could be either 531 or Vitus. They also think could be a Motobecane based on the brazed cable guide on the rear dropout but none of the Motobecane's (or gitane - another possibility) I've seen have the same combination of willow leaf seat stay, fork crown, and wolf ear lugs on the head tube.

to muddy things further the components are appear to have been slung together from someone's parts bin: Shimano 106 rear derailleur, suntour front and huret shifters, solida crank, 90's Mavic CPX 21/ shimano hubed front wheel, wrecked chrome rim maillard hubed rear (5-speed w/ 126 spacing), Belleri "BF" stem and CLB/Sulky brakes. Also, the paint job looks like a reasonable done re-spray and the stickers have been badly applied as an afterthought.

I’m totally new to this so, please forgive any dumbness on my part!
Any help with identification would be fantastic!

i'll try to add some pics below

Thanks!
