Help me identify my early 90s Diamondback Ascent?

I have a blue/black swirl coloured Ascent which im currently looking at restoring, last time i rode it was about 2005, I got it aroun 1994/5, but am trying to verify its correct year and specs. All i have is this pic, and a serial number, woudl anyone know where i could find out ?

It has made in china for the USA sticker on it when i got it, still visable.

My guess would be 93.

How are the cables routed over the top tube? 3 together, or 2 + 1 type layout?

Have you looked on the 'Gallery & Archive' section? I'd agree looks 1993

Looks the same as mine originally did and the research I did at the time lead me to believe it was a '93 too........link below.

Although this started out as a scrapyard project it's now my favourite bike, it's a lovely ride and pretty light. The bike originally came fairly low specced but I'd say it deserves much better, I'll definitely continue to improve mine as parts come along at the right price.

Looking forward to seeing this built up, the original paint looks pretty good in that photo.

Rebuild

In the meantime i just bout a DB Response, definatley feels different to the old 90s Diamond Backs, but at the price i got it for will do me until i can slowly rebuild this baby.
