I got this tonight. It has a schwinn chicago head badge, and the serial number is on the head tube and is CJ87171. I initially thought it was a '73. I took it apart a every bit (down to the bearings in the 1 piece crank) were all stamped with Schwinn.

It appears to be a CroMo frame with a one piece crank bottom bracket which would mean it was one of the 3 S's: Superior, Super Sport, or Sports Tourer. I don't believe any of these were offered in black. So my best guess would be a 1973 Super Sport repainted black. It could be later though; check the hub dates or crank date and go with the latest one. 73 frames were held back to fulfill warranty claims in future years.
