Most large and custom frames up to y2k didn't get longer than 59cm.

I'm 6'2" and ride 62 and 64cm bikes. I have a nice 58 racer but middle age means I need a long Nitto technomic stem to make it work. To the OP I would have thought at 6'6" you might need to shift your sizing up one click (at least) from where you are now - unless you like a lot of seatpost.
