Hi folks.

I have a 93 Kona Explosif and a set of middleburn ISIS cranks.
I don't understand cranks / bottom brackets of this flavour too well!

What size bottom bracket do I need? From what I can see there are multiple lengths - which one do I need?

What tools do I need to fit it?

How do I fit/remove the cranks? What tools?

Words of 2 syllables or less would be appreciated!!

Thanks

Jon

Put simply you'll need the same sized bottom bracket as already fitted, both in terms of axle length and shell (the bit that fits in the frame) width.

To find out what you have, and to get your new one back in, you'll need an isis bottom bracket tool.

That's about it, your local bike shop or eBay, or here should be able to supply you a tool, and once you have the bottom bracket out, you should be able too see markings/label that will tell you what you have/need.
