Almost forgot about this thread as it was a fair while back that I posted it!!
Anyhow, tnx for the addl comments.
Got the frame from eBay, was described as a titanium road bike frame, but could see it was an MTB frame, so took a bit of a punt and won the auction. Anyhow when it arrived could see it wasn't titanium but some form of alloy but as it as quite a distinctive thought I'd see if was still worth hanging onto to, hence this post.
Did find out the frame was made of titanal as reddaihatsu says and it seemed from what I discovered it wasn't an alloy really suited to bike frames, perhaps that's why there aren't many around?, and as I already had a titanium MTB frame I returned it to the seller and got a refund so where it is now, ain't got a clue!!!
