Help ID track/grass track bike

Hi

Bought this in the winter to use in the Veladrome when the weather is crap (which is a lot in Scotland). Its Reynolds 653 (has reynolds stamped on bb shell) and I kniw it was used for grass track at Highland GAmes. The lug work is quite distinctive, as is the way seat stays end with a bolt which acts as seat clamping. The bb has "everest" stamped on it which I believe was a Japanese frame builders of some repute.

Here are a couple of snaps - this rides fab on the track. I have stuck some Cinelli stickers I had, but would like to get the proper frame decals for the bike

Re:

Hi, I think it is an Alves frame built in Scotland by Charlie Ralph. I have an Alves 753 time trial frame which has Reynolds 753 and Everest stamped on the BB shell...no frame number. Could make sense with your frames connection with Scotland.. hope this helps. :D

Re:

Brilliant - that makes sense, really makes me happy a bike built in Scotland to partner with my 61 Flying Scot.

Can't thank you enough

Re:

Not looked at my frame for a while so dug it out today. Thought it was stamped Reynolds 753, but it's Alves 753 though it has an Everest BB shell. Can you post a picture of the BB shell... this would help... here's mine.

Re:

The top picture I posted is the BB shell from below - like yours, stampted everest. On the top side it has Reynolds, no other markings. Pretty certain nowit is an ALves

Cheers

Re:

More pictures of the full bb shell and part that's stamped Reynolds would be good and more of the complete frame and dropouts would give more clues....cheers
