Help getting fit bike riding

just get out and ride .

no need to have specific goals .

I am quite fat , but can ride the bike for a few hours or go running regularly etc...
 
Also depends on what you class as fit? :?

I started riding again about 2 years ago and wanted to get fit enough to just enjoy riding a bike again, then after doing a retrobike bike ride and the wales wobble moved on to want to be fit enough to enjoy these rides without wanting to die halfway round. then the goal posts got moved again after going to Mayhem in the summer..... Wow that was a shocker!! :shock: and even since then I havent pulled my finger out of my arse and put more weight on!!

This year I am going for it :twisted:
 
I'm that super annoying guy who's always skinny and eats everything and is still fairly fit even though there was a gap of 12years with no exercise. So forgive me if I chuckle at you guys :P

Yeah would be tricky to leave lol. Been for a quick jog round the block , that wasn't far but knackering. Quite unfit then lol

Excellent! Choose a route and time it every time, you'll be surprised how much quicker you'll do it in just a couple of weeks.
 
Scary it isn't that far and took me while to do it. I was in a rush to go out and do it , I forgot to time it . Will try get out and do it again Thursday and time it then.
 
Getting fit again is never going to be easy. I didn't ride for 10 years until I discovered RB and got out on a bike again. Nowdays some would consider me fitter than most but I know that I need to improve my fitness more.

My BMI says I am overweight - 6' 15.5st, I eat and drink what I like without worrying too much about weight gain. As long as I get out on the bike twice a week and maybe go to the gym a couple of times a week everything looks after itself.
