Hi, i've resprayed my bike and i need help with the decals, my computer crashed and i lost my spreadsheet of measurement of the decal positions.
The bike is 1993 cinder cone size 18. If anybody has a 93 kona who can help.

Thanks

Bump for related question on '97 cindercone.

Does anyone have the measurements for locating the decals on a '97 Cindercone?

I have a 93 lava dome but i can't get to it until friday. Also have a 97 fire mountain in the shed ifthat can help

Re: '97 Fire mountain:

The decals should be in the same place so that would be useful as guide to locate the Cindercone decals. For the toptube decal a measurement from the toptube/heatube weld junction to the decal would do. Is the Fire Mountain original or re painted?

wouldn't that depend on the size of the bike, and hence the length of the tube (just before you stick them down)

I've an 18'' '91 Cinder Cone. Looking at the catalogue the decals seem the same as the '93, although Gil-m or Anthony are the authorities on this. I'm away for the next week but if you don't get sorted in the meantime then pm me and I'll measure them up for you.

I had a dig through the archives for some original Cindercone pics '93 & '97.

'93 - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2...2_GALLERYSID=48620473a793ddcc8c9c3e65f3b692b9

'97 - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2...2_GALLERYSID=48620473a793ddcc8c9c3e65f3b692b9

'98 - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2...2_GALLERYSID=48620473a793ddcc8c9c3e65f3b692b9

And a users '97. Looks like original pain and decals - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2...2_GALLERYSID=48620473a793ddcc8c9c3e65f3b692b9

It seems that the location of the toptube decal is slightly different in each pic. Otherwise the other decals seem to be in roughly the same place. Looking at this it seems that the location of the decals isn't so critical that exact measurements are necessary. Done by eye having the pics as a reference will be fine. Who's going to notice the difference if a decals out by a couple of mm?

My only concern is that the company re-spraying my frame aren't a 'frame specialist' re-spray company. I'm worried the decals wont be in the right place. I'll be giving them plenty of pics so they should be OK though. Fingers crossed.
