Help Authenticating Galmozzi Bike

Hi everyone!

I’m new to the vintage bike scene and would love some input!

I’ve recently acquired a Galmozzi and would love some help identifying if it is authentic, also dating and identifying the model (if it’s genuine)

I’ve attached some photos of the bike, let me know if you need more angles or close ups!

Hi good morning , The head lugs the way they. are done at the front of the head tube looks very Galmozziesque . Also the seat stay caps look right too. The fork crown looks more modern than for this vintage of Galmozzi but the paint matches. The braze on fittings ie top tube cable guides and under bracket/chain stay cable guides look like a newer addition to an older frame and hence probably a repaint with no decals fitted . The Campagnolo super record brakes are more modern than the frame and are short reach so are at the bottom of the slots ie the frame was made with more clearance so more 1960s early 1970s style of build . A shot of underneath the bottom bracket shell might show the distinctive Galmozzi drilled hole pattern but this is not always there on older frames . I hope this helps its a lovely bike .

yes, genuine

appears to date from late sixties

top tube cable guides and under bottom bracket cable routing are later additions and somewhat unfortuante

lug pattern is Agrati ART. 000.8050/E/U "SPORT"
with a cutout slot added to the feature cut side

this pattern is one seldom encountered which was employed by Galmozzi at this time

this contract produced bike done by Galmozzi for the Lazzaretti cycle shop of Roma has been dated to 1969

it is what yours would have looked like prior to the modifications
