Headtube cracks

a couple of tiny hairlines have been discovered in my alloy frame....right at the back of the headtube and running into a big chunky weld...they stop at the weld and appear to have been there for ages.....

worry about it or forget it...... :?

Only a hack ride for the road so not heavy use jumping crashing etc......

what say you guys :?

maybe look at the head protection you wear whilst riding this one...

the welds should stop it easy enough do you reckon steve......

welds wont stop the stress riser on the welds..i wouldnt ride it fella...stick it on the wall as teeth are supposed to be on the inside looking out.not the other way round

could I drill the top of the crack with a 0.5mm drill bit....... :?

get some pics of the offending area, then take some photo;s of these cracks you mention... but i'm slightly worried you think a stress fracture will be stopped at the weld... :shock: :shock: :shock:

Modern alu is no less suscepible to cracking ya know....

I would have expected to see the cracking around the seat post area
