Well, thanks all mine is done too. I held it just aft of the head tube and tapped it out with the plastic hammer and park tool. The feedback I got from actually holding the frame gave me the confidence to tap it hard enough. In the past I also used screwdrivers as "tool" for this job, but that was in the days of 10 quid headsets.
So out went the black Syncros and in went the King in anodised blue, there's some more bits like that for some retro flair to a modern build. FWIW I use a PVC drain pipe from the local DIY shop some 35dia x 3?mm to tap in frozen headset cups.
