Headset. Chris King or Hope

I've never had an expensive headset, always got the cheap ones and have never replaced one yet! I can't see the point in buying an expensive one when cheap does the job.

I've had the same Cane creek headset on my old bike for about 12 years now, regreased it about 3 times still runs as smooth as silk.

On my non retro bike i have a FSA thats has been on the bike for 5 years now and that has never been taken apart, still runs smooth!

Perhaps i'm lucky with my headsets, but i would save the money and buy something else.

Fair point.If it works, then why spend more.
My WTB ones work fine, so I think I'll buy neither the King or Hope.

it's not always about what will get the job done. as in everything else in life, you can spend less on about anything and it will do what's intended to a certain degree. sometime there are things in life you just WANT to spend more on and indulge yourself with no real justification. perhaps a bit of form over function to attain a certain "completeness" for a build?

Dont tell me. This is the man that has xtritus combined with x0ius. When simple lx would do. All for blingology and to save a few grammes here and there. Personally id love a king but on this occasion spent the money on a new met kaos lid.
