Most of you will be unaware that Spencer 13 and myself are colleagues who work at a brewery deep in unfashionable North Warwickshire. After one tipsy evening we decided to organise, as an antidote to weight weening, a competition to see who has ‘the heaviest regularly used bicycle’.
First up are the rules because we are British and we love them !!!
1. Your bicycle must be ridden regularly – ish.
2. Retro is essential (lots of room for manoeuvre there then!!).
3. Photographic evidence of weight / use please.
4. Not to be taken seriously in any way, shape or form
5. If we end up with several bikes of the same weight then
Spencer and Karl’s decision is final, no matter how much moaning and pissing ensues on internet bicycle forums. We may just run a poll to be fair
The competition will run until midnight January 1st 2012 (plenty of time to shonk something together!!) on both road and MTB sections. Feel free to enter both if you want but please note that if you win the MTB prize it is highly unlikely you will win the road one too
(Spencer says and vice - versa) There will be prizes, they will be small !!!
All weights in pounds and ounces please as we LOVEEEEE imperial measurements
Photos are cool, the funnier the better. Our method of weighing was rider first, then rider and steed followed by hard sums to reveal the final weight. There could be a special prize for the best weighing method!
Good luck to you all
Karl and Spencer
P.s weight on scales on first pic is just for show.....and not the real weight.
To kick this off here is my entry –
Sun Worksop Snipe Plus – all chromed
A glorious shiny 30 pounds and 12 ounces.
