IMHO tho the inference in the text is that they are terrible to ride? One reason that a lot of folks don't turn up at the moment is they value their steeds highly and the current bad ground conditions(the coldest and wettest UK October on record!) doesn't do a lot for them, fair weather meets are much better attended!

Thats good enough for me matt-outandabout, what I saw on my fleeting visit to the site seemed very 'intense' and self-important. I'm sure if I looked a little longer it would all make sense

Retrobike is good- it's like bein' in the pub when everyone has just arrived, got a bit oiled, but is still well behaved.

Oh dear,

I am still into modern bikes (retro always in my heart) and its hard to find somewhere to go and chat about these things, maybe I'll rule STW out then. :? Been on UK MTB in its many recent house moves....
End up here though, best thing is we're mostly all grown ups just have to button my modern chatter.

FOD was a bit far for me and something important was happening Sunday. Plus I would have been one of the 'walkers' no doubt after my last 'performance'

I have noticed MBUK's attitude in the letters, not sure if i agree or not, i like to feel I'm moving forwards in time, but love so much old stuff; cars, bikes, music, film, tv, products etc.

One thing I will say. retro riding has reminded me what its all about for me, and I now appreciate the new and the old, will see if i can build a NEW bike based on these findings next year...

MBUK are there to sell new stuff. As such, there is no future for their ads if they promote how good old/retro/sh stuff is. Self preservation really. Makes sense when you are big hucker of a mag.

On the FOD ride there were a few on modern bikes unfortunately (me included ), but not without good reason in most cases which prevented more than in preference.

There will be no such slacking at Cannock though. That will be a full on retro bling fest. Match all the Chrimbo tree decs see
