Lots of manufacturers used the softail design. KHS, Ritchey, Dekerf and a few others. I believe the Ritcheys were Tig welded wheras mine is Fillet Brazed. The shock on mine is ok I just over greased it a bit. I will need a stiffer spring and maybe some fresh bushings but they are still available.REKIBorter":2h98h8rk said:^^^ interesting ^^^ Did Ritchey out-source any other fabrication? As I said above Parkpre used Landshark to make some frames.
I hit a tree once because I looked down when my chain started skipping once. Anyway, made some changes to get her up and running for now, new chain and xt cassette, xt v-brake for the rear, different stem and bar, new tires. Rode it to work today and this bike is just plain fast. I can't wait to get some dirt under it.suburbanreuben":1d8wmpvt said:Ooh- Luvly!![]()
It's one of those bikes that makes you crash, just from looking down and admiring it, instead of at where you're going.![]()
