A minutes silence is in order I fear. Bikepro, one of the longest standing retro resources seems to have died after a long illness.

No matter how I try to get into it I just get error messages. Anyone know owt?

oh sjit!

Just the other day I was thinking of copying a load of info just in case this happened.
This was a great resource.
Are there any pages cached somewhere?

do we know who was running it ?

we could do a collection to buy the site and host it on here . :D

you have to be a bit patient with archive.org, but everything should be there. Says there's 38 pages.

if you go to www.archive.org and type into the 'waybackmachine' the web address it'll (eventually) give you a list of everytime it took a snapshot of the site. I don't know how much duplication there is. 38 pages doesn't sound a lot. Perhaps somebody could suck the site from there for a speedier retrieval. Could some of it be posted on retrobike archive?

cack. was only looking at it earlier this evening.

If someone can get the code will be more than happy to host it on here somewhere...

I hear that someone, I'm not sure who, might have sucked it up a few years ago. So, if a moderator is interested, PM me.

Also, the whois info on the site:

Tel. +001.7075280910

Creation Date: 16-Apr-1995
Expiration Date: 17-Apr-2008

Maybe someone should give him a call and ask. The domain is paid up until April, so it's possible he forgot to pay his isp, who knows.
