Looking at the moterra again - I thought it was ticking all of my boxes

Untill I realised the front chainring must be smaller than any granny ring out there.....

Canondale dont say how many teeth it has but the rear is 11-42.

So top gear would be rear 11T and front (guess) 20T. so on the road home from a bike ride I would be dropped off the back of the group maxing out at 15mph - when I am used to 11T X44T!!!!

Whereas the Specialized levo has a 11T X 32T which I guess is more like normal these days

and the levo has a slacker head angle and comes stock with UST rims and tires 2.8"!!!

Does this still apply if the battery is flat and I wonder is there is any way to calculate the "effective" front chainring?
