Yes and also when i lived in my flat i used to put the bike in the shower to wash it, Otherwise the local scrotes would of had it away.

I put my favourite 1996-7 ish Airwalk SPD shoes in the wash once early this year. It wasnt good!

It melted the glue between the soles and the uppers. I have since fixed them with a silicon based adhesive (which has made them odly more water proof than they ever where, but ruined the looks of them....green leather with blue goo crap smeared all over them!)

So just be careful!
