Haro Impusle Junk?

I impulsively bought this Haro Impulse (sorry, I couldn't resist) because it was only a few dollars and I'm wondering if anyone has any information about them. I know most had elevated chain stays. Were they once considered nice or were they just low to mid-level junk? And what's up with the seat stay joint, did someone forget the weld it or were they all like that? Anyway, thanks for any info!

Not junk no. Mid-range amost certainly but nicer mid-range. Have no idea what is going on with the weld though (Is it firmly attached :?: ) Don't know quite how much you paid for it, but it is a very good looking frame and forks in a fantastic colour. I personally would slap some decent bits on it and love it
