Hello,

I am restoring a '92 Klein Rascal and I would like to get two parts:

- The cable guide under the bottom bracket. Here you have some photos:

- A CCD (Chain Control Device). Some more photos:

Does anyone know where to find these odd parts?

or

Does anyone have them and want to sell them?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Replace them if you can find / want NOS but I reckon all those items would clean up and look as new with a bit of preparation and patience :D

Cable guide - Smooth with wet n dry - plastic polish
Black thing (steel ?) - paint strip - file - wet n dry - zinc - leave natural or black spray.
Silver thing (ally ?) - file - wet n dry - polish or ano.

Some nice stainless rivets for the guide and some polished ti bolts for the metal bits and it will all look 8)

WD :D

I'd avoid Ti bolts in such a corrosion-sensitive area, but if you do put on lots of Ti-Prep or Copperslip into the bolts.

With Ti bolts its not corrosion thats the problem,it gauling that makes them seize,Ti threads are rough and so bite into the other material, same thing happens with stainless steel,as you say Ti-prep or copper grease solve this :D

Thanks a lot for your advices! :D

Let's try to do that!! (although I will keep looking for them on the Internet...)
