No decent instruction sequence for full bearing service on Halo Supadrive MT hubs so here is the inside line.
Things needed:
Soft mallet
15mm long Alloy drift - piece of 5-8mm alloy rod will be fine
17mm cone spanners
Internal circlip pliers
Weeny long thin screwdriver
Bearing puller set or carefully use sockets
6902rs bearings x4
Solid wooden surface for whacking out bearings
Anti seize
good waterproof grease
blue loctite
1
Two 17mm thin cone spanners needed to remove end caps
Undo anticlockwise one of the end caps
Either end may come off
2
Axle should then pull though
If not encourage it with soft mallet
If you remove both end caps for cleaning note that non-drive end of axle has a longer section of thread
If very stiff in bearings then you may need a soft alloy drift to hammer it through with soft mallet
3
Simply pull freehub off
Be careful with tiny springs on pawls
All held together by very thin spring around the hub, in a central notch on the pawls
Gently prise off thin spring with weeny screwdriver and you can dismantle pawls for cleaning
4
To replace bearings in freehub
The outer rubber seal over the outer bearing has two holes - underneath is a circlip - just treat it like a circlip and it comes out
Now, removing outside bearing in freehub
From inside surface of freehub push internal tube spacer inside to one side to allow drift to contact inner race
Whack it out with the hammer, moving around the bearing so that it comes out evenly
Out will come outer bearing and spacer
Now use drift and hammer to whack out inner race in same direction as first one
5
Reinstalling
Clean everything meticulously
Smear antiseize onto bearing and bearing seat
Press in inner bearing
Install spacer
Press in outer bearing
Re-install rubber-covered circlip over outer bearing
Done
6
Replacing wheel bearings
Again, move long internal spacer to one side using a screwdriver or the drift
Whack out one bearing
Remove spacer
Whack out the other one
Clean and smear antiseize onto bearing and bearing seat
Press in one new bearing
Install spacer
Press in second bearing
7
Clean axle really well - spontex steel with GT85 very good for this
install freehub spacer onto axle
install freehub
wiggle freehub on to get it into body or depress two pawls to get it back on
Install non-drive end cap onto axle using blue loctite
Push axle through
Install drive end end-cap using blue loctite
Tighten to 'reasonable nip' tightness
8
All done
