Had car accident, need advice on dealing with claim

when my last car was written off, by a bus, his fault. I got £2.5k for a 7 year old, 100k+ miles Mazda 6 2.0 TS. When I searched Autotrader, they were going for less than £1000 so I was well chuffed, and accepted first offer!
