Anyone tried these yet. My mate reckons they are amazing. Is it just a retro idea resurrected?

They're fantastic, put your hands in a far more natural position, bit like the bars on old raleigh shopper bikes. Got em on my Seven and wouldn't swap them for anything

Depends.
The shifters shown are also brake levers.
But people have had good results running thumbies on them, too.
Rohloff twist shifter less so.

Does anyone make a clamp-on barend that would do the same job, or would there be too much leverage on the clamp?

I'd love to try a pair, but they're just a little too rich for my blood. I know Titec make something similar...

What brake lever/gear shifter set up are you running? Any issue with shifting and braking at the same time etc??

They are good for singlespeed .

Skide ( member on this forum and owner of Skydecomp.com ) does them a lot cheaper than Jones .

Not so much cheaper. Have you seen what a euro's worth lately?

Jones: $290 = 187€

Skyde: 170€ = $263

that's using an exchange rate of 1€=$1.55. The rate I have in front of me is $1.5527
