Gonna try one of the above, but not sure which. Find I am holding more to the inner section of my riser bars when 'giving it some' on the straight but still want the width and rise.
Which ones should I try?
Cheers
Carl

Those Jones bars look good, wouldn't mind trying some myself. The hand position looks really natural and from the experiance of following someone using a set they don't hinder technical riding 8)

I have Marys and love them, also have a set of luv handles sitting in the post office( bloody import tax  ) and shall let you know about those, though it will be a while before I get them on a runner. One thing I would say is that marys have a high turnover so selling them if there not your bag shouldn't be a problem.

Actually just read your OP  the marys centre section wouldn't really provide a handhold at all.

So all in all a rubbish post

Very leftfield/retro suggestion: Flat bar with Profile tri bars!

Saw someone with just that setup on a modern Merida hardtail whizzing down Union Street in Aberdeen the weekend before last.

Hello,
Been using H bars for ages.
Got lent a set with straight bar extensions to ride the transalp.
They worked really well, for the mix of relentless climbing, road work, and the odd steep bum over the back downhill..
Ended up buying the swept version, which although pricier I did not like so much.
Cheap alternative to my mind, would be mary bars with bar ends pushed inboard of brake levers. Mary bars are worth a try on their own, as i find the swept back grip easier on my wrists.
May even try that myself.
J.
Paraphase above for innuendo as required..
