if you google "define english person", well google it and find out.

it seems to me that by living in a small community and trying to live a life that they want rather then conforming to other ideas of how we should live they have are open to riducule and abuse from so called normall people.
the english love to have someone to look down on, we have an inbread superiority complex that we love to cling too. we use it to justify our behaviour when own behaviour is bad as the next.
i missed the program but will have to catch it later, i have some very good friends from traveller backgrounds.

If you don't like my opinion about gypsies that fine by me. I don't like yours either, hey we're all different. And that's my point, the Gypsies do things their way, i'm sure there's lots of things that you do in you life that others wouldn't like or agree with.

I grew up in a town that had two Traveller sites (note that I don't call them Gypsies) and 3 settled Romany brothers living in the town.
We had no end of trouble from the Travellers with vandalism, violence and theft, but the 3 old Romany brothers were nice as pie and did the kind of jobs that Gypsies used to do.
Also my father in laws family are descended from Romany's and i have found out that the Travellers (Irish tinkers or plain old Pikies) have really nothing to do with them and are looked down upon by pure Romany's as they brought a bad name upon them. My own experience bears this out too.
Sadly there aren't many Romany's left today most are just what are referred to as Didicoy's (halfbred Romany/Pikey) and the Romany traditions are mostly lost to the lawless Pikey ones.
Irish Travellers are not Gypsies, they are Travellers, Tinkers or Pikies and it's an insult to the Romanys to call them that despite what Wikipedia says.
