Went to two different sports centres this evening to query memberships, both have pools and gyms. The first was 38 a month and the second was 39.95 a month.......

.......HOW MUCH?!?!?! :o

yeah they are expesive. Mrs E_R spends £30 a month for one with a pool (and a heated outdoor pool lol) and we're up here in the NW, so down in London I would have expected to be more than £38 TBH.

I refused to join though, can't stand the places.

Did they offer you the once only special offer

It's me that's 'speshul'!

No special offers at all, both places wanted an extra 30-sommat 'joining fee' - for what?!? Laughed at the second place when she said if I paid a higher amount I'd have access to all of their pools across London.... gee now THAT is handy, I live in SE London, I'll just travel across to North London for a swim.... who thought up that stupid bloody idea?

Talking of swimming pools, been put off them for life after hearing of some kid vomiting in one last week..mmm nice! and all they did was fish it out with a net :?

reminds me i must use my sodding gym membership!! £33 a month i think and no pool thank christ. Just wish they'd do 6 month memberships instead of yearly. Think they had a BOGOF offer last time i drove past

Pay a bit more out here ... but I've just been for a swim and this is the view

Dont get me started on gym memberships.......

Just ask my wife how many times she went to the gym when she was a member :x

If you have a medical reason to do so like depression or being overweight you can get a gym membership on prescription from the NHS in a lot of places.
