Gutted. RC200 F1 cracked seat tube.....:(

Well some of you may know of my F1 which, having recently picked up a RC300, I had decided to sell. Only while taking pictures for an advert did I notice a weird reflection from the flash around the seat tube clamp......
I even had a 420mm Syncros post in it!!

Bugger.

Rich, you'll be familiar with this one!!

Anyone want a 16" RC200 F1 in black....with a small crack?!?!

I guess I'll be breaking it for parts now.

While I do feel for you, looking at the pics of your bikes with those insanely high seatposts, I fail to be blown over in surprise by this news.

Minimum insert according to Pace was 130mm and preferably more.....

If your RC300 is also this size, you might want to consider swapping it for a bigger one.

I agree although the pictures on here against my fence were posed if you like and the post was just slipped in higher than the norm.
I think being used mainly as a road bike meant I had it higher as the post in my others do not protrude as much.
I should have got a larger frame but I guess beggers can't be choosers when a Pace frame becomes available.

12 years service wasn't a bad innings!!

Thank you, I saw the link on the thread about the cracked Pace steerer.

I wonder whether a repaired frame is worth as much as the repair would cost?

if you were keeping it maybe yes personal/sentimantal reasons

To sell on cut i'd say no (from personal experience)
