Guinness for breakfast

I recall having a Guinness at my local at 7am after a full night's sleep in 2002 when England played Nigeria :D

I used to go out for a full english to a pub in Windsor that as long as you went upto the top floor would serve Full English with a Guiness at any time, and this was in the days before 24 hour opening.

So its fine by me !!!

Is it wrong to have a pint of Guinness at 5.01am after 11 hours and 229 miles in a taxi?

:D

Bet it tasted sweet after an 11hour shift

A cold pint of Guinness is fine anytime.

When I went to Dublin to the factory, after doing the tour I was served a cold pint in the Sky Bar and I recall that was still AM.

11hrs and 200 odd miles; worth supping whilst counting the pennies you've made!

yep tis fine. if you fancy a drink then have a drink! who cares about time! unless you have work soon although a little bit wont hurt! think your just rubbing it really though arent ya!

Remember coming off a night shift (7am), straight over to New Covent Garden market, into the pub, Guinness and a full English breakfast followed by a further 12 hours of more Guinness and a collapse near Centrepoint.

Next thing I remember was getting off the train 3 stops too early and having to walk 5 miles home.

Good times :?

God no, a great British working class tradition, a pint or two after a hard night shift.

Can we assume you were suitable attired with a sooty face, manly 'tash and flat cap?

i cant drink in the daytime. well i can but i'm asleep by 7 if i do!

but 5am after working all night. i guess thats the same as coming home from work at 7pm and cracking a can open
