Guess who's back, back again, Shady's back...

Well, after having these auctions pulled for shill bidding, they're back. Presumably the starting prices are what he was going to shill bid them to anyway so at least he's cut out that bullshit. Enjoy:

Very funny, I love the fact that he's struggling to shift what are two desireable frames because so many forum members know what a tit this gentleman is

absolutely, the parts this guy is trying to shift are quite desirable and rare but, largely because of this site, or more importantly, his previous dealings on this site, they're not selling.

Goes to show exactly how large and influential this site is. Cross retrobike at your peril!

I find it surprising that eBay is so lax. If, as we assume (although to be fair we don't know it for a fact), they cancelled previous auctions because of fraudulent bidding, surely they should cancel his membership?

The Hot is over-priced anyway in my opinion, even if he was a well-regarded seller.

It doesn't surprise me in the least; ebay is more about profit and less about community. They just won't give him free listings

I take your point, but there's an issue of far-sighted vs short-sighted. There are many many millions of people who won't use eBay because they have heard horror stories about rogue traders. If eBay made it clear that they always took severe action against rogue traders, it might cost them some fees in the short term, but in the longer term it might enable them to expand their business.

Doing nothing about rogue traders is not in eBay's long-term interests IMO.

I agree, but there are probably so many shill bidders, going after them would begin to have a negative effect on their profits. Plus, if ebay makes a percentage of the final value of an auction, wouldn't they stand to benefit from a succcesful shill bidder.

I hate shill bidding- I've never done it, never will, but it's my opinion that many have...perhaps I'm just paranoid.

I know someone who used to shill bid on stuff he was selling (nothing to do with bikes) and on one occasion won the item. He then got an email from someone claiming to be the person who won the item, that they didn't want it and would he like to buy it back of them!!!! As you can imagine he didn't report it.......

We should have a new thread, Konamad watch then it'll be easy when the &*^% muncher extraordinaire registers on here again and tries to rip folks off with the same stuff he's shill bidding on on ebay.
