Guess what I saw today at Sherwood Pines...

I was on a wildlife walk today at Sherwood Pines and a guy on a bike rode past with the forks fitted the wrong way round! The bars were in the right position though. It had rigid curved forks with V brakes so was pretty obvious.
I wanted to stop and tell him (for his own safety) but by the time I had recovered from the shock he was gone.

Was at my mates for a BBQ on Sunday, and he'd built his son a bike (Halfords boxed jobbie) and fitted the forks the wrond way round. Made me wince when I saw it!

Suffice to say I grabbed an allen key out of his shed and sorted it for him

OK so. Wouldnt the seat post strike the rear shock mount if this was ridden? It looks like a completely stupid design, never mind the forks being on the wrong way around.

I think the kid would be safer on a unicycle.

Good grief.

I always get the urge to sort others bike issues!!
Can't help it. Can't bear to see badly set up or dangerous bikes. One guy from work came out, after an hour said his bars were annoying him as the kept moving - Bar clamp bolts undone. How he rode like that for an hour remains a mystery to me :?
