what a day i am having !
4 days off work and my new zaskar frame has just been delivered
also a cool manitou cnc stem and a original 1993 gt brochure has just been handed to me by the postman !
i will put some pictures up when i work out how to do it
i am also very new to building up bikes and will need all the advice and generosity of you guys in getting the zaskar built up !
bottom bracket size and headset stuff i havent got a clue !
just need to get some cash to get some more bits to build the gt up into a flying machine i am amazed how light it is
when i got the box i honestly thought it was empty !

Congratulations! You've just choosen one of the best hardtails on this world. Let me guess is it in anodised ink blue flavour? About BB, I'm pretty sure should take 73 mm bracket and headset is standard 1 & 1/8 inch. If you'll be using square taper cranks be carefull, spindle length depends on crank model, standard Shimano after 93-94 should take roughly 115 mm spindle in Zaskar.

just polishing it now !
what forks do you suggest?
and will v brakes work or will it have to be cantis?

Thought is blue colour as gm had anodised Zaskar for sale. ball burnished is nice as well.

Fork depends if you'll decide go for rigid or suspension, rigid best is GT bologna forks, suspension Rock Shox mag21. Vees will be work but cantis will be look better IMO.

the early zaskar was slightly suspension corrected and will behave as if its stuck on rails if you use the wrong length rigid fork.

i had a zaskar years ago
had a set of pace rc35s on it which i liked
in the catalogue i just got the 1993 model has the gold colour
rock shox they look good
gotta work out what colur scheme i am gonna go for
the frame has blue and yellow stickers

i wanted to buy gm s ink blue one but i missed out on it
i told my girlfriend to buy it but she was too slow!
she made up for it though
this one is in amazing condition
just gotta talk her into buying all the other stuff i need now!
